Everything starts with your Transport Malta learner's permit, valid for 3 years. Since October 2024 all applications are processed online through the Driving Licence Portal — and at Royal the whole flow is digital through the Royal System, with our €120 package covering the TM permit, registration, doctor's process and the app.
Then come lessons — €20/hr day rate, €25/hr evenings — the theory test (€30.25) studied free in our app, and finally the practical test (€90 weekday, €120 Saturday) when your instructor says you're ready. Most beginners hold their licence within 6–8 months; our intensive fast-track does it in 6–12 weeks.
